Milk

Milk

MilkPerfect hangover food.  Milk has an amazing brunch menu, ranging from a huge fry up to pancakes, eggs benedict and even a burger.  They also have healthy smoothies, salads and bloody marys on offer for those who prefer their hangover cure a little bit healthier!  My preferred dish here is the salmon eggs benedict, served with spicy potatoes – which on the one hand don’t really go together in the dish, but do fill that extra hole that I always have after a night on the tiles.  The Ranchera Omelette is also great, with enough heat in the chorizo and chilli to give you that lovely warm feeling in your mouth without burning your face off!

They have a different dinner menu in the evenings, predominantly burgers which sound great; I haven’t dined there yet but judging by the day time options you can’t go wrong.  Milk’s sister restaurant Marmalade in Raval has exactly the same menu in a larger venue with a terrace, so you have the choice of where to go when hunger strikes.

And to top it all they have an enticing cocktail menu, so you can grab a cocktail in the evening and go back the next lunchtime to recover!

The bar is owned by an Irish couple, the menu is all in English and the music ranges from Indie to old school classics and modern tunes.  A great atmosphere, tasty food and cocktails; what more do you need?

Something to bear in mind if you arrange to meet there – they won’t seat you until all the group has arrived so make sure everyone is punctual (a challenge here to say the least!).
